A friend of mine once told me "you know, it's so hard to find a good engineer in L.A." I joked "you know, it's even harder to find a good company in L.A." One of the things that distinguishes L.A. from the Bay Area is traffic. While people in the Bay Area can jump around without worrying about commute, in S Cal you constantly have to think about the logistics of surviving a daily drive between O.C., west side, downtown, San Fernando, Riverside, so on so forth. What would you say are top places to live in L.A., if tech scene is what you're interested at? Great post, John, thanks for the information.
